DIY Dupe

I happened upon a cute wooden rocking horse as my good friend was clearing out old items. I was happy to give this guy a new home. I wasn't sure what I was going to do to it or with it, but I knew I would find a perfect spot. So we started here and although it is quite cute as it is, I had a different idea in mind.

Funny story. I often wonder if Instagram or Facebook can read minds because this popped up in my feed. Now I do like Ballard Designs, but I was not searching for anything related to wooden horses. I promise. Anyway, this is what appeared.

Well, I got to work and started transforming my guy to look similar. While it is not exactly the same, and I wouldn't want it to be, this certainly was my inspiration. Not bad! And it costs me a little elbow grease. I saved $179.
